Hi there and thank you so much for visiting! We are Kea Bee, a family (literally) standing behind our wife and sister with her dream of sharing her love of quilting with the world.
While her passion has increasingly grown in quilting, and with encouragement from family and friends, KeaBee was founded by Kea in 2017. The idea began with a text to her best friend about opening a sewing studio to share her love of quilting. Not long after, our Youtube channel and blog launched. Kea is a homeschool mom of 3 wonderfully crazy boys. As a small girl in Indiana she admired the quilting of her Great-Grandmother and Grandmother. In their passing, they left a legacy and desire to pursue making wonderful creations. She is creative and impeccably organized. She spends late nights sewing in her beautiful dream craft room. Her determination to bring easy, beginner friendly quilting lessons to aspiring quilters is what inspires her. Thank you for joining us today and we hope to inspire you to sew something wonderful.
Nathan is a loving father to those 3 wonderfully crazy boys. He and Kea have been married since 2009, where they eloped in their favorite place, Gatlinburg, TN! He works very hard as his “day job” to be able to provide for his family. His passions include his big box electronic store job, playing video games with his friends, board games, and making his wife happy. Fittingly he’s our tech guy here at KeaBee. He films, edits, and publishes our Youtube tutorials. While he knows nothing about quilting, he’s learning. Kea predicts he’ll be a pro soon!
Siera is the younger (and favorite) sibling of Kea. Kea and Siera share the love of crafting but the gene of quilting skipped her. Siera loves writing, reading, hanging with her nephews (teaching them about star wars and superheroes, the important stuff!), and spending time with her friends and family. Siera is the complete opposite of Kea when it comes to being organized. Siera is quilted into our team here at Kea Bee as the blogger, social media guru, and anything else her big sister says.
